Biography

Busra Edebali is a fashion designer who was born in Ankara, on April 6, 1983. Her early passion for the fine arts served as the foundation for her artistic talent. She embarked on her design journey in 2002, when she enrolled in the Department of Graphic Design at Izmir University of Economics. Throughout her career, she consistently progressed by creating distinctive and inspiring design products. Upon obtaining her graphic design bachelor's degree, she subsequently enrolled at the same university to pursue a second bachelor's degree in Fashion Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, thus realizing her initial aspiration of a career in the fashion industry.

She actively engaged in numerous international exhibitions and contests during her ongoing academic studies in fashion design, gradually forming her identity as a designer. In 2007, she advanced to the final round of the Fashion Design Competition hosted by the Aegean Exporters’ Association with a design that drew inspiration from Caucasian tradition. In 2008, she was one of the top ten finalists in Denimder's denim design competition in Istanbul. Following her graduation collection, she proceeded to create her second collection, focusing on leather. Besides, she undertook a freelance project and produced a collection for a London-based private designer.

Büşra Edebali's collection, featuring her unique designs with Nallıhan fabrics, sparked interest during her solo fashion show at a DMEDD (The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spouses' Solidarity Association)-organized event held at Ankara Palas in 2011, in commemoration of International Women’s Day. This long journey and achievements enabled her to discover her own world and feelings in the design process. In 2011, as a young designer and female entrepreneur, she founded the Büşra Edebali Fashion Design House in Alsancak, Izmir. Since then, she has been the creator and designer of her own independent brand. With her unique vision, she has created couture designs for women with romantic, stylish, elegant, and imaginative outlooks. She quickly reached a large customer base with her custom-made designs for night dresses and bridals.

Busra Edebali, who achieved finalist status in the 2013 IF Wedding Fashion İzmir Wedding Design Competition with her bridal design, has advanced her vision through her training at Central Saint Martins and London College of Fashion, renowned fashion schools in London. Büşra Edebali, who drew inspiration from Urla, Izmir, and its vibrant colours, showcased her collection titled "Colours of Urla" in a grand fashion show. Her ultimate ambition is to establish herself as one of the most prominent Turkish fashion designers and make a mark in the global fashion industry.
